Description
Lynda Britten is an artist in the Abstract Primitive style. She studied a Bachelor of Fine Art, Queensland College of Art 1978 – 1980. She was awarded a Group Workshop Grant with the Arts Council of Australia in 1986. She was a supporter of Roar Movement Art in Melbourne. She has had many Solo Exhibitions, including Prints/Studio Launch Sun Electric Building, Melbourne 1983; Blackwood Street Gallery Melbourne, 1985; Common Ground, Roar Gallery, Fitzroy 1988; Recent Paintings, Roar Gallery Fitzroy, 1992; Upstairs Gallery, Towoomba Queensland 1994; Retrospective of 20 Years, Melbourne Arts Club, 1998; Ho Gallery St Kilda 2003, 2006; Metropolis Gallery St Kilda 2003; and North Road Gallery, 2007, 2011. She has also participated in many Group Exhibitions.
